STIFF TWIST TYPE BOTTLE CAGE CONNECTOR

CAUSE:

If you find that the knurled ring in the twist type cage connector has become very stiff to turn then this is almost certainly because dirt has got into the mechanism (between the fixed and rotating parts) – it is very important to clean this out so that you do not twist the bottle connector when closing the ring, and also so you can make sure that the cage is holding the bottle tightly.

FIX:

A fine vacuum cleaner nozzle is ideal for removing dirt between the fixed and rotating parts of the twist connector. Just direct the nozzle at the bottom of each of the 3 slots shown in the photos below.
