Bike Radar test Cytronex for Brompton Superlight M2L-X 2 speed
The Cytronex Brompton is a pleasure to ride. The bike’s low weight retains the same light-steering feel of a Brompton, which is great for low-speed manoeuvres. Impressively, it’s incredibly well-balanced. That’s no mean feat for an ebike, and is down to the relatively compact front-wheel motor and a battery that’s centrally mounted on the main tube. The result is easy, neutral handling.

Bike Radar's Verdict on the Cytronex C1 E-bike Conversion Kit
'Cytronex’s conversion kit is a great ebike solution', 'it is a very clever thing, and the latest generation setup looks better than ever!' 'This simplicity hides some very clever design, though. The good looking fluted lithium battery for instance houses the brain of the system and its compact size and low weight (1.5kg) mean it’s easy to transport off the bike.' Electric Bike Report
Cytronex have just launched their own Brompton specific version of the Cytronex retrofit kit. As with the C1, they have stayed with a geared front hub motor but a lighter and narrower version that slots perfectly into the Brompton forks.... Cutting to the summary: Probably the lightest and most efficient Brompton retrofit system out there and one that looks like it is made to last and last. Read the full review by clicking below

CYTRONEX C1 For those needing a little help in the leg department, an ebike conversion kit is a great way to give your existing bike some oomph. This lightweight kit from Cytronex is appealing in that it’s simple to out fit your bike with (just swap your front wheel out, add the battery bottle cage and attach the control unit to your handlebars). The power delivery is smooth and silent, and you can pre-set your own custom power levels to choose from during a ride. £995, www.cytronex.com

Cytronex C1 12Kg Cannondale CAAD12
For the first ever press review of Cytronex C1 we chose electric bike experts AtoB magazine. There isn’t much David Henshaw doesn’t know about electric bikes – he’s tested just about everything, and AtoB reviewed the first ever Cytronex Bike back in 2008. We quote from the concluding paragraph: “Without question, it’s the best power-assist kit on the market, if we can sully such a fine bit of engineering with that lowly tag, and arguably one of the best electric bike solutions, full stop.”
